
Gold Lose Tough One to Motor City 113-98

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold (3-4) lost momentum in the final minutes of the fourth, falling short of a win against in-state rival the Motor City Cruise (6-1).
Matt Ryan pulled out another team-high performance with 25 points and 3 rebounds. Guard Quade Green finished with an impressive double-double with 15 points and 11 assists. Petr Cornelie returned to the Gold's roster after spending time with the Nuggets, tallying up a double-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Other Gold players in double figures were Trevon Duval (12pts, 5 assists, 4 rebs) and Marcus Burk (12 pts).
Deividas Sirvydis dominated the court with a game-high 34 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Shawndre Jones added another 18 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds. Cheick Diallo contributed a solid double-double with 15 points, 18 rebounds and 2 blocks. Other Cruise players in double digits were Trayvon Palmer (15 pts, 2 rebs) and Justin Turner (10 pts, 2 assists) and Devon Baulman (10 pts, 2 rebs).
The Gold will stay in Grand Rapids to face off with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday, January 22 ,for the team's highly anticipated Star Wars Night. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. EST. Watch live on NBAGLeague.com.
