Hats Off: Forward Tom Zanoski recorded the first Gladiators hat trick of the season in a 5-2 victory over South Division rival South Carolina Stingrays on Friday night. Current teammate Matt Siddall was the last to match the mark in a 6-3 win over Florida on March 15th of last season.

Firsts: Forwards Matt Francis and Michael Forney recorded their first professional points over the weekend with Forney recording an assist on Friday and Saturday and Francis notching an assist on Saturday.

Between the Pipes: Goaltender Danny Taylor has started nine straight games for the Gladiators since being reassigned from Syracuse on October 24th, going 5-2-1-1 in that span.

Basement: Despite winning two straight games against South Division-leading South Carolina and making up four points in the standings, the Gladiators remained in a tie for last place in the division with Charlotte at 18 points, however, they have played just 13 games, the fewest of any team in the league and are just 4 points out of first place in the division.

Unbeaten: The Gladiators are unbeaten in regulation against South Division opponents, turning in a 7-0-1-1 record thus far this season.

Road Warriors: The Gladiators are also unbeaten on the road in regulation with a 5-0-1-0 record.

Last Week's Games: November 20, Gwinnett 5, South Carolina 2 - W The Gladiators responded to a record-setting loss with a win over South Division-leading South Carolina on Friday night. Tom Zanoski tallied 3 goals to get the hat trick and lead the Gladiators to a 5-2 win over the Stingrays. It was the first time in 5 meetings between the two teams that the game did not advance to OT. Danny Taylor stopped 40 of 42 shots in the victory. Aaron Brocklehurst scored the game winning goal and added 2 assists for the Gladiators. Gwinnett continued their road success, improving to 4-0-1-0 on the road.

November 21, Gwinnett 5, South Carolina 2 - W The Gladiators got goals from five different players, and Chad Denny got his third assist in two nights as Gwinnett repeated their 5-2 victory from the night before. The Gladiators scored on the power play for the first time in four games, getting two in the third period, and Taylor stopped 33 shots for his second straight victory. Gwinnett improved to 7-0-1-1 against South Division teams, 4-0-1-1 against the Stingrays, and 5-0-1-1 on the road.

On Thursday, the Gladiators host the Charlotte Checkers in their annual Thanksgiving game and then again on Saturday before traveling to North Carolina to play the Checkers on Sunday afternoon for their fourth game in six days.
