Royals Release Forward Kyle Laughlin

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Kyle Laughlin has been released. In a separate transaction, the Royals placed defenseman Scott Fletcher on bereavement leave. Laughlin, a first year pro from Gambrills, Maryland, played in three games for the Royals without registering a point.

Reading's current five game road trip concludes on Wednesday night when the Royals travel to Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania-where Reading is winless in the team's last eight games (0-6-2)-to take on the Johnstown Chiefs. Game time is 7:05 pm on Wednesday, and the radio broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast kicks off at 6:35 pm.
