Gladiators Weekly Update for March 23rd

Second to 20: Forward Pat Bateman became the second Gladiator this season to reach 20 goals. He collected his 20th and 21st goals of the season in the Gladiators 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Wednesday night. He added two more goals for the Gladiators in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over Dayton. The Calgary, Alberta native has 23 goals and 25 assists on the year for Gwinnett and ranks second on the team in scoring.

Point Per Game: Jordan Fox notched a two points for the Gladiators in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Dayton Bombers. The forward now has 61 points off of 25 goals and 36 assists for the Gladiators in 61 games this season. He is averaging a point a game for Gwinnett and has been on that pace all season. If he keeps to the pace, he'll finish the season with 67 point for Gwinett.

To the A! Jordan Fox made his second trip to the AHL this season as he was called up to the Chicago Wolves on March 21st and skated with the Wolves in their 3-2 shootout loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Fox appeared in 5 games with AHL Manitoba earlier this year registering a point. He was reassigned to Gwinnett in time for Sunday's 4-2 loss to Dayton.

Leading after 2: The Gladiators remain unbeaten in regulation this season when leading after two periods. The Gladiators led the Cincinnati Cyclones 2-1 after two periods in Wednesday's 4-1 win. Gwinnett is now 19-0-1 when leading after two periods this season.

Multiple Point Games: Adam Berti notched his 9th multiple point game this season and his 8th with the Gladiators this year as he collected a goal and an assist in the Gladiators 5-4 overtime win at Dayton on March 21st. His 9 mulitple point games this season are a career ECHL high for the forward.

The Winner! Defenseman Scott Marchesi notched his 4th game winning goal of the season for the Gladiators this season in Gwinnett's 5-4 overtime win over Dayton on March 21st. It was the second consecutive game winner for the defenseman in overtime as he had the overtime game winning goal for the Gladiators on February 15th helping Gwinnett defeat the Checkers 2-1 in Overtime.

Spongebob! Spongebob Squarepants will be at the Gladiators game on Saturday, March 28th when the Gladiators host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Spongebob will be on hand at the game courtesy of Charter Communication.

Adult Cap Giveaway: The first 1,500 adults to the Gladiators game on Saturday, March 28th when the Gladiators host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:05 p.m. will receive a Gladiators cap at the game. The adult cap giveaway is courtesy of RaceTrac.
