Gladiators Swap Defensemen with Wolves

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Libor Ustrnul has been assigned to Gwinnett from the Gladiators American Hockey League affiliate Chicago Wolves. Chicago has also recalled defenseman Paul Flache from the Gladiators.

Selected in the second round, 42nd overall, in 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Ustrnul has spent his entire professional career with the Chicago Wolves. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound defenseman has posted 2 assists in 27 games this season for the Wolves.

Flache returns to the Chicago Wolves where he began the season, posting 2 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 44 games the American Hockey League before being assigned to Gwinnett. The brother of Gladiators forward Peter, Paul recorded a goal and 2 assists for 3 points in 3 games last weekend for Gwinnett.

Ustrnul should be available for the Gladiators as they travel to Biloxi, M.S. to take on the Mississippi Sea Wolves at 8:35 p.m. Catch the play-by-play on WDUN, News Talk 550.
