
Scott May Named ECHL Rookie of the Month

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that center Scott May has been announced as the ECHL/Vector CCM Rookie of the Month for the month of February.
May played in all 12 games for the Ice Pilots in February scoring 8 goals, 8 assists for 16 points and was a +6 in the plus/minus rating. May scored two power play goals, one shorthanded goal and one game winning goal.
May has played in a total of 21 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 12 goals, 11 assists for 23 points and has picked up 10 penalty minutes. He is a +11 in the plus/minus rating and has scored 3 power play goals, 2 game winning goals and one shorthanded goal. May's 21.1 shooting percentage is also tied for second best in the ECHL.
The Ice Pilots have a record of 16-4-1 since May joined the team from St. J! ohn's of the AHL. May played college hockey at Ohio State from 2000-2004 playing in 41 games last year scoring 15 goals, 19 assists for 34 points and picked up 42 penalty minutes. He was drafted in the seventh round (222nd overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Draft and is 23 years old from Surrey, British Columbia
Todd Ford, Chris St. Jacques and Nick Lindberg will be signing autographs tonight at Sports Avenue located inside Cordova Mall from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The Ice Pilots next two home games are tomorrow vs. Texas and Saturday vs. Mississippi as both games begin at 7:05 p.m. It is military appreciation night on Friday night as all military both active and retired can receive discount on tickets by presenting their military ID at the civic center box office.
The Ice Pilots game this Sunday at Mississippi has been changed to a 4:05 p.m. face off instead of starting at 5:05 p.m. The game will now start at 4:05 p.m.
