Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. - Fresno Falcons goaltender Brett Jaeger has been named the ECHL's Sun National Bank Saver of the Month for his performance during the month of February. He is the first Falcons player to receive an ECHL monthly award in the team's two years in the league.

Jaeger recorded a 5-0-2 record during February with a 1.05 goals against average and 97.1% save percentage. He posted his second official shutout of the season with a 31-save effort during a 1-0 win against the San Diego Gulls on Feb. 18, forming the backbone of the longest shutout streak in the 10-year professional history of the Falcons. Spanning four games from Feb. 15 - Feb. 20, his streak of 166:52 without allowing a goal bested the previous mark set by former Falcon Terry Friesen by nearly an entire 60 minutes.

For the season, Jaeger is currently 13-5-6 with a 2.40 goals against average and 93.0% save percentage. The rookie had been named runner-up for the ECHL's Reebok Saver of the Week in back-to-back weeks from Feb. 14-20 and Feb. 21-27. Fellow goaltender Jamie Hodson became the first Falcon to win an ECHL weekly award when he was named the Reebok Saver of the Week for the week of Jan. 10-16.

Fresno returns to the ice tomorrow when they face the San Diego Gulls in the first half of a home-and-home series that continues on Saturday at the San Diego Sports Arena. Tickets for tomorrow's 7 p.m. tilt at Save Mart Center are now on sale for as low as $8 per seat and may be purchased directly at Save Mart Center's box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 485-TIXS (8497) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
