Gilbert Reassigned from Toledo to Rockford

Rockford, Ill- The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that they have reassigned center David Gilbert from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs. In addition, Chicago has reassigned right winger Chris DiDomenico from Rockford to Toledo.

In nine games with Toledo this season, Gilbert, 20, has tallied six points (1g-5a) and ranks fifth on the team in scoring. The Chateauguay, Quebec native has an assist in one game with Rockford in 2011-12. Over the last three seasons, Gilbert has played seven total games with the IceHogs, scoring two goals and three assists.

DiDomenico, 22, has three points (1g-2a) in nine games with Rockford during the 2011-12 campaign. The 6-1 forward split time between Rockford and Toledo last season, earning four points (4a) in 25 games with the IceHogs and 25 points (9g-16a) in 37 games with the Walleye.
