MONTREAL, PQ (November 14, 2011) - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Andreas Engqvist has been recalled by the Montreal Canadiens and is scheduled to join the team in Montreal for tonight's game.

Engqvist, 23, has played in seven games for Montreal this season, posting one shot, a +1 rating, two penalty minutes and 6:55 average time on ice. The 6-foot-4, 197-pound forward has played in seven games with the Hamilton Bulldogs this season, posting five points (3 goals, 2 assists), 11 shots, a + 2 rating and six penalty minutes. The native of Bromma, Sweden was signed as a free agent by Habs in 2009 after playing for Djurgarden of the Swedish Elite League.
