The Solar Bears close their nine-game road trip this weekend with back-to-back games against the South Carolina Stingrays. Orlando has found success against South Carolina of late, taking a 3-2 overtime win on February 25 in South Carolina and earning 5-2 and 2-1 win at the Amway Center on February 11 and 13. The Solar Bears were last in action on Wednesday night in Fort Wayne, earning a 5-4 win over the Komets. F Jacob Cepis (1g, 3a) and F Mickey Lang (1g, 2a) led the charge offensively while G Cody Reichard stopped 46 of the 50 shots he faced in the contest. The Stingrays played three games over the weekend, falling 4-1 to Gwinnett on Friday but coming back for a 3-2 OT win over the Gladiators on Saturday followed by a 2-1 road victory over the Greenville Road Warriors on Sunday afternoon. Orlando and South Carolina are separated by just one point in the Eastern Conference standings.

F Mickey Lang leads the ECHL with 39 goals and 13 power play tallies, and is third in the league with 65 points... F Jacob Cepis (4 points) and F Mickey Lang (3 points) both had their 10th multiple point game for the Solar Bears on Wednesday... G Cody Reichard tied a club high for saves in a game with 46 on Wednesday in Fort Wayne... F Taylor Matson is third among rookies with a 21.5 shooting percentage... The Solar Bears are fifth in the league on the penalty kill at 85.5% (200-for-234)... Orlando has outscored their opponents 77-55 in the first period... F Mike Ullrich was returned from the Iowa Wild on Monday and is expected to join the team in South Carolina. Marcel Dionne, Mike Ramsey, and Dave Christian to play in BE GREAT! Classic:

Hall of Fame forward Marcel Dionne and 1980 Gold Medal Winning Olympians Mike Ramsey and Dave Christian will play in the annual "BE GREAT! Classic for Kids" on Saturday, March 29, at the Amway Center. Dionne is fifth All-Time in the NHL with 1,771 points and was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 1992. Both Ramsey and Christian helped the United States Men's Hockey Team capture a Gold Medal at the 1980 Olympics held in Lake Placid, New York - "The Miracle on Ice". Local hockey players will have the opportunity to purchase a roster spot to skate alongside Dionne, Ramsey and Christian and the net proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. F Peter Boyd is ninth in the ECHL with 55 points. He leads South Carolina against the Solar Bears with nine points (3g, 6a). He leads the Stingrays with 21 goals and 34 assists...
