Calgary Reassigns LW Turner Elson to the Aces from Abbotsford

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, announced today that Calgary has reassigned left wing Turner Elson to the Aces from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Elson, 21, is expected to join the Aces in time for tomorrow's road game at 6:30 p.m. (KFQD), at Stockton Arena against the Stockton Thunder.

The 5-foot-11, 180 pound forward has four points and is +4 in nine games with the Aces and also has suited up in 37 games for Abbotsford, collecting three points and a +1 rating this season.

Elson has 40 games of AHL experience with Abbotsford, earning three points and 21 penalty minutes. He was signed by the Flames as a free agent on Sept. 22, 2011.

The former alternate captain of the Red Deer Rebels skated in 253 career junior games with Red Deer in the Western Hockey League, earning 151 points (72g-79a) and a +46 rating.
