Wheeling Nailers Will Soon Welcome 2.5 Millionth Fan to WesBanco Arena

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, proud members of the ECHL, are excited to announce that some time in the remaining 6 Nailers home games the 2.5 millionth fan will pass through the turnstiles of WesBanco Arena and be honored with several rewards.
"Every one of our fans is special to us, but welcoming our 2.5 millionth fan is a significant milestone. This fan is representative of all the people who have come out to a Wheeling hockey game in the last 23 years," said Nailers' Governor Don Rigby.
The final home games of the regular season are on March 28 and 30; and April 1, 2, 4 and 5. The lucky fan will receive two and a half season ticket packages and a team jersey.
Rigby added, "The coaches, players and even our colors and nickname have changed over the years, but the fans have remained constant. The Nailers would not exist without Nailer Nation, and we look forward to welcoming our 3 millionth fan in a future season."
Wheeling Mayor Andy McKenzie commented, "It is exciting to think about the 2.5 million people that have come to Downtown Wheeling to watch hockey. The Nailers are a cornerstone of downtown, and their impact is seen in the restaurants and bars in the region where fans gather before and after games at WesBanco Arena. I'm personally looking forward to the next million Nailer fans who come to spend their time and money in Wheeling."
"We could not have reached this milestone without the support of our corporate partners and season ticket holders," said Vice President Craig Bommer. "They will continue to be the driving force to our success as we look forward to our 3 millionth fan."
The Nailers' next home game is scheduled for Friday, March 28th, when they will host the Toledo Walleye (ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks / Detroit Red Wings) at 7:00 p.m. at WesBanco Arena. Purchase Tickets
