The top two teams in the Eastern Conference will square off tonight at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Reading Royals. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-1-0-0 versus the defending Kelly Cup champions, including 3-0-0-0 at Wings Stadium.
The K-Wings enter tonight's game on an eight-game overall winning streak as well as an 12-game (11-0-1-0) home unbeaten streak; both streaks are the longest in Kalamazoo's ECHL history. With 81 points, the K-Wings lead the North Division by nine points over the Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Royals are tied atop of the Eastern Conference standings with the K-Wings. Reading, who is 8-1-1-0 in their last 10 games, are unbeaten in regulation in their last three (2-0-1-0) contests. With 81 points, the Royals lead the Atlantic Division by nine points over the Wheeling Nailers.
