The Solar Bears close out a three-game road trip today as they look to get back to their winning ways against the Gwinnett Gladiators. The Solar Bears have found success against Gwinnett early on this season going 2-0-0-1 thus far. The Solar Bears were in action last night in South Carolina, suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Stingrays. South Carolina scored once in the first and once in the second to take a 2-0 lead into the third period. F Francis Verreault-Paul scored a power play goal for the Solar Bears early in the third, but it was as close as the Solar Bears would get as the Stingrays took home the win. Gwinnett was last in action on Friday night, taking a 3-2 win over South Carolina. The Gladiators notched three goals by the halfway point of the second period, but the Stingrays answered back and pulled to within one with 1:09 left in the contest. The Gladiators held the Stingrays off the board in the final minute to take the 3-2 win. Orlando has only played one game at the Arena at Gwinnett Center this season, earning a point in a 4-3 shootout loss.
