
Road Warriors Make Two Moves; Carroll Reassigned to Hartford

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced the team has signed goaltender Kyle Rank and released forward Garrett Vermeersch. In a separate transaction, forward Andrew Carroll has been recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Rank, 26, split last season between the Knoxville Ice Bears and the Fayetteville FireAntz in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Islip, New York native spent the majority of his time with Fayetteville where he posted a 6-5-2 record with a .898 save percentage and a 3.04 goals against average.
Vermeersch began the year in the Southern Professional Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen. In 16 games played with the Rivermen, he scored a team high nine goals, with seven assists and 26 penalty minutes. The Macomb, Michigan native played at Northeastern University from 2009-2013. In his freshman year he led the team in assists with 18 and in his junior year, he was tied for the team lead in goals with ten.
Carroll, 28, scored two goals in 23 games played with the Road Warriors this season. The Shoreview, Minnesota native returns to Hartford where he began the season; attending the team's training camp.
The Road Warriors will play the South Carolina Stingrays today at 3:05 p.m. in North Charleston. Fans can listen to the game by clicking the listen live link on the Road Warriors' homepage or by watching via America One.
