Matchup:
After falling to the Reading Royals on Wednesday night, the Solar Bears look to rebound today as they face the Elmira Jackals for the second time this season.
Orlando got out to a strong start on Wednesday, with F Mickey Lang scoring his league-leading 44th goal of the season to give Orlando a 1-0 lead heading into the second period. F Tyler Murovich then struck a little after the halfway point of the middle frame to boost the Solar Bears lead to 2-0. The Royals would come back with six unanswered goals to take the 6-2 score over Orlando. Despite the loss, the South Carolina Stingrays defeated the Florida Everblades in a shootout later that night securing a playoff spot for Orlando. Elmira was last in action on Wednesday night as well, falling by a score of 6-3 to the Kalamazoo Wings. The two teams traded goals in the first, but the Wings exploded for four goals in the second period to hold a 5-2 lead going into the third. Each time scored once more in the final period with goals less than two minutes apart for the game's final 6-3 score. Orlando hosted the Elmira Jackals for the only other meeting of the two teams on November 7, with the Solar Bears taking a 4-1 decision.
