ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Las Vegas' Huxley fined, suspended

Las Vegas' Adam Huxley has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #732, Bakersfield at Las Vegas, on April 1.

Huxley was assessed a major penalty for elbowing under Rule #45.3 at 1:36 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Huxley will miss Las Vegas' games at Bakersfield on April 5 and April 6 and at Utah on April 9.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

South Carolina's Downing fined, suspended

South Carolina's Jack Downing has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #734, South Carolina at Florida, on April 2.

Downing was assessed a major penalty for elbowing under Rule #45.3 at 18:44 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Downing will miss South Carolina's games at Florida on April 5 and April 6.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
