TONIGHT:
The Orlando Solar Bears play their second game in as many days against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits after earning a point in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss.
MASSA BACK IN TOP 20:
Aided by his career-high 44 save performance on Thursday, Ryan Massa has worked himself into the top 20 in save percentage among ECHL goalies, as he now boasts a .917 save percentage, slightly better than his season-long rookie performance of .915 in 2015-16. The goaltender has stopped 100 of 109 shots against.
MAKING THE MOST OF OPPORTUNITIES:
After going 0-for-1 on the man advantage on Opening Night, the Solar Bears' power play has been one of the more effective units in the league. Through six games, Orlando's opponents have averaged 15.17 penalty minutes per game, 12th in the ECHL. As a result, the Solar Bears have earned 32 chances with the man advantage, and have scored seven times while on the power play for a conversion rate of 21.9 percent. Also of note - Orlando has been a perfect 12-for-12 on the penalty kill so far through their current road trip - tied for first with Florida and Wichita for the best road PK efficiency.
BRACE FINDS BACK OF NET:
Adam Brace's first goal of the season for Orlando was also his first since returning to the ECHL after spending last season overseas in Germany. For the forward, it was his sixth career goal against Greenville, after putting up seven points (5g-2a) in nine games against the then-named Road Warriors while with the Florida Everblades in 2014-15.
