ROSTER UPDATE:
RW Jason Dale was activated from 3-IR today... G Tyler Sims was claimed off waivers on Friday... D Chris Brooks was placed on 7-IR on Friday... F Matt Pope was reassigned by Vancouver from Manitoba (AHL) and RW Jason Dale placed on 3-IR Feb. 11... G Josh Johnson and LW Ryan Donally were transferred to 21-IR on Feb. 10... D Chris Allen was acquired from the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations on Feb. 1... LW Shawn Weller and D Mark Mitera were reassigned by Anaheim to Abbotsford (AHL) on Jan. 31.
THE MATCHUP:
The Condors and Reign are meeting for the tenth time this season,
with Bakersfield boasting a 6-3-0-0 record thus far, including three victories in a row. Three of the Condors wins in the series have come via the shootout. After the first four meetings of the season series were decided by a combined 19 goals, each of the last five head-to-head matchups have been one-goal decisions.
CONDORS NOTES:
RW Erick Lizon racked up a season-high 24 penalty minutes in Saturday night's game, by means of two fighting majors, two minor penalties and a game misconduct, which counts as 10 minutes on the score sheet. He ranks 7th in the ECHL with 143 PIM on the season... The Condors killed off all six Vegas power plays last night, the first time in seven games they did not allow a power play tally... Bakersfield has allowed the first goal in ten consecutive games and 13 of the last 14... F Stephane Goulet leads the active Condors with seven assists and eight points against Ontario this season.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
The Condors will wear special Valentine's Day jerseys for a raffle and auction to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House, sponsored by Bright House Networks, 96.5 Max FM and McDonald's. Five of the game jerseys will be raffled off for free during and after the game.
