DULUTH, GA - The Gwinnett Gladiators struck for three power-play goals en route to a 6-3 victory over the Florida Everblades. The loss was the first in regulation for Florida in the last five games. With the loss the Everblades dropped to 5-2-2 against Gwinnett this season.

It took the Gwinnett Gladiators just 48-seconds to break the goose-egg party on the scoreboard. Gwinnett jumped up 1-0 on a Tim Miller goal assisted by linemates Daniel Sullivan and Mike MacLean. The Everblades evened the score at the 8:44 mark of the period on Kevin Baker's seventh tally of the season. Ryan Lang picked up his 11th assist of the season. Gwinnett registered 15 shots in the period, which equaled their total from the night before. The Everblades fired 11 shots in the first stanza and there was just one minor penalty in the period on Florida.

The second period saw less combined shots but more goals. The Gladiators outscored Florida 3-2 in the period and took a 4-3 edge to the intermission. Gwinnett took their second lead of the game 4:48 into the stanza on a Mike MacLean goal. Daniel Sullivan and Tim Miller picked up the assists. The Everblades tied the game at 13:49 on Shea Guthrie's 12th goal of the season. Guthrie tipped an Ernie Hartlieb from the point to again deadlock the game this time at 2-2. Gwinnett added the next two tallies at 15:23 and 18:02 to take a two-goal advantage, but the Everblades answered with less than a minute in the period on Kevin Baker's second goal of the game. Baker deflected a point blast from Hartlieb to cut the Gwinnett lead to 4-3. Hartlieb picked up his second assist in the contest and Scott Hotham also recorded a helper on the goal.

In the third period, two power-play goals widened the gap as the Gladiators skated to a 6-3 win. Drew Paris picked up his 10th goal of the season on a blast from the point at 12:29 to give the Gladiators a two-goal advantage. The final tally came on the extra man as Daniel Sullivan tipped in a Sam Roberts point shot to finish the scoring.
