Pretty in Pink
The K-Wings will host the Toledo Walleye today during the 10th Annual Pink Ice Game, presented by WWMT and WKFR. Kalamazoo is 6-3-0-0 in pink ice games and is riding a six-game winning streak on the yearly classic. Customary with the K-Wings' Pink Ice Game, the K-Wings will host the largest wedding in southwest Michigan. Tying the knot this year will be Stacey Fields and Lee Carter of Lawrence, Michigan.
Lloyd Returns
The K-Wings will get a lift in their lineup today, as forward Darryl Lloyd is set to return. Lloyd missed last night's game against Toledo due to serving a one-game suspension by the ECHL.
Home is Where the Points Are
Forwards Andrew Fournier and Dean Strong have definitely felt at home at Wings Stadium. Fournier enters the day on a 10-game home point streak, as well as an eight game home assist streak, while Strong has earned points in all five games he has played on Vanrick Drive.
Home Sweet Home
Earning a 5-4 victory Friday versus Johnstown, Kalamazoo extended their unbeaten streak in regulation at Wings Stadium to eight games (7-0-0-1). The eight-game home unbeaten streak is a season-high for Kalamazoo.
