It's the Blades last game at home until October 12th, before heading out on the road to play 5 games in the next 7 days beginning tomorrow in Prince Albert.

The matchup - The Saskatoon Blades will try for their 3rd straight win tonight as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers for their first of four meetings this season. The Blades should have rest on their side having not played since last Saturday's 8-0 victory over the Swift Current Broncos at home. Meanwhile, the Tigers are trying to salvage a couple points to close out their 3-game road trip before heading home. Medicine Hat fell 5-3 to the Raiders last night in Prince Albert and lost 3-2 on Wednesday night in Edmonton to the Oil Kings.

The last game - Kirby Dach put up 5 points leading Saskatoon to an 8-0 win over Swift Current last Saturday.. Nolan Maier pitched a shutout between the pipes. For the Tigers, Jordan Hollet-- who has started all four games for them this season-- is coming off a 39 save losing effort last night in Prince Albert. Henrik Rybinski and Tyler Preziuso each had a goal and an assist last night against the Raiders.

Head-to-head - Last season the Tigers swept the Blades 4-0 in the season series and have had their way with Saskatoon over the past 5 seasons going 9-3. The Blades will look to change that beginning tonight, with former Tiger Max Gerlach -- who has 5 points through 2 games this season, leading the charge.

The lineup - The Blades could get a boost up front as veteran forward Josh Paterson is expected to make his season debut after missing the opening weekend with an upper body injury. 18-year-old Brandon Machado has also been cleared to play after suffering an upper body injury during the pre-season forcing him to miss opening weekend as well. 16-year-old Kyle Crnkovic remains on the injured list for is expected to be another 2-4 weeks.
