Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (1-1-0-0) conclude a home-and-home series with the Spokane Chiefs at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. PT.

The ICE are coming off of a 7-4 loss to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday. The ICE received two goals from Brett Davis, while Brad Ginnell and Nolan Orzeck potted the others. Peyton Krebs and Dallas Hines each collected two assists in the loss. Goaltender Duncan McGovern stopped 25-of-30 shots that came his way. The ICE were outshot 32-28. The ICE went 3-for-5 on the power play, 3-for-4 on the penalty kill and won 32 of 62 faceoffs.
Nolan Orzeck scored the third goal of the game for the ICE, which turned out to be his first career WHL goal.
Brett Davis reached a milestone on Friday, recording his 50th career WHL goal. Davis has scored three goals in two games, and all of those are on the power play.

The Chiefs collected their first win of the season on Friday, potting seven goals in a 7-4 victory over the ICE at Western Financial Place in Cranbrook, BC. The Chiefs received two goals from Jake McGrew, while Riley Woods, Eli Zummack, Adam Beckman, Matt Leduc and Luke Toporowski added the others. Goaltender Dawson Weatherill stopped 24-of-28 shots. The Chiefs outshot the ICE 32-28. They went 1-for-4 on the power play, 2-for-5 on the penalty kill and won 30 of 62 faceoffs.
HEAD TO HEAD
This will be the second meeting of the season between the ICE and the Chiefs.
The ICE are 2-4-1-0 in its last seven games against the Chiefs in Spokane. Overall, both home and away, the ICE are 5-8-3-0 in its last 16 games against the Chiefs.
