TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (43-19-3-4) look to avenge Sunday's loss at home, as they will host the Stockton Thunder (32-30-1-6) for the final time during the regular season, in a potential playoff preview for the opening round of the 2014 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Ontario currently sits second in the Western Conference, while Stockton has fallen to seventh place. The Reign lead the season series 9-6-0-0. The Reign have faced the Thunder only once before in the postseason, with Ontario falling in a hard-fought seven-game series in the opening round in 2008-09.
WHITE REMAINS HOT:
Reign forward Matt White is the only skater on the Reign roster to have played in all 15 games against Stockton this season. The rookie is also among the team leaders on the active roster with five goals and four assists against the Thunder, including his shorthanded tally against Parker Milner on Sunday.
DROP THE GLOVES:
In the previous two meetings between Ontario and Stockton, Jeremy Yablonski and Garet Hunt have squared off against each other; a whopping 150 combined penalty minutes have been assessed to the Reign and Thunder in that same span.
HOME SWEET HOME:
With only one home game left to play at Citizens Business Bank Arena following tonight, Ontario has already entertained 277,052 fans this season for an average attendance of 8,149 fans per game, well ahead of last year's club-record average of 7,575 fans per game. The Reign are already assured of reclaiming the ECHL attendance title, which they held three consecutive years through the 2009-10 and 2011-12 seasons.
