Walleye Claim a Defenseman

(Toledo, OH) - Defenseman Tyler Hinds has been added to the Toledo Walleye after being claimed off of waivers from the Kalamazoo Wings.

A hind, a native of Orleans, Ontario, has skated with four ECHL teams this year before joining the Walleye. The 24 year old has spent time in Utah, Greenville, Evansville and Kalamazoo. He has a total of one goal, two assists and 15 penalty minutes over 43 games in the ECHL.

Prior to turning professional, the 6'0", 205 pound defenseman spent four seasons and Robert Morris where he appeared in 102 games with six goals and 23 assists for the Colonials. He was on the All-Atlantic Academic Team multiple times in his four years.
