
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Cincinnati Cyclones

In a game that will help decide who captures the North Division crown, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to the US Bank Arena to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. This will be the 11th and final regular season meeting of the season between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-3-1-1 against the Cyclones.
For the K-Wings tonight isn't only a big divisional matchup, but it is also huge in regards to the Eastern Conference. Kalamazoo leads Cincinnati by two points for the division lead and trails the idle South Carolina Stingrays by three points for second place in the conference.
The Cyclones are returning home to start a three-game home stand. Cincinnati is heating up at the right time. Unbeaten in regulation in the their last three (2-0-1-0) games, the Cyclones are 7-2-1-0 in their last 10 games and trail the Orlando Solar Bears by a single point for fourth place in the conference.

Taylor Moves to Second
Last Friday, Justin Taylor earned his 68th goal in his K-Wings career. The 68 goals places Taylor one goal ahead of Sam Ftorek for second in K-Wings' ECHL history and just one goal behind former K-Wing Trent Daavettila, who is the team's ECHL all-time leader with 69 goals.
Starting the Week
The K-Wings have been tough to beat in weekday games. Kalamazoo is 13-4-0-0 in games played Monday-Thursday this season.
Snapping a Streak
While it doesn't seem that long, the K-Wings start the week looking to snap a season-tying tying two-game losing streak. Kalamazoo is 2-4-0-2 in their last eight games.
