TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (41-18-4-6) will play out their final road trip of the 2014-15 regular season in Anchorage against the Alaska Aces (34-28-3-4). Ontario has a 6-3-0-0 record against Alaska this season, and has outscored the Aces by a 27-19 margin. Alaska is most recently coming off of three consecutive losses: two at Utah and one at Idaho. Ontario is 30-28-5 all-time against Alaska since the two clubs began competition against each other in 2008-09.
SPECIAL TEAMS GLANCE:
Through nine games this season against the Aces, Ontario has converted on seven of 38 chances on the power-play (18.4%), while only surrendering six goals on 38 chances against on the penalty kill (84.2%). Both percentages are nearly identical to Ontario's totals against all opponents on the season.
WHITE HAVING CAREER YEAR:
Reign forward Matt White's five-point game on Saturday not only tied him with Kyle Kraemer for the most points by a Reign forward in a single match, but it also helped push White past his rookie points total from 2013-14. The ECHL sophomore now has 60 points (28g-32a) in 65 games and his plus-minus of +40 leads all league forwards.
BLACKWATER APPROACHING CLUB SINGLE-SEASON GOALS MARK:
With three games remaining, Reign forward Judd Blackwater is only another four goals away from tying the single-season club record of 36 set by his good friend Colton Yellow Horn in 2012-13.
