
Fandemonium, Student Rush Highlights Final Home Weekend

Wichita, KS (April 8th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, close their inaugural season in the ECHL with a pair of home games this coming weekend. Friday night is Student Rush Night, presented by Kansas National Guard and Saturday is the annual Alumni Game, Fandemonium, presented by WTI and Team Photo Night, presented by Green Lantern, Eaton Place, U.S Air Force and Newman University.
On Friday night, local area colleges will be in attendance with a chance for one high school and one adult student to win one of two $500 scholarships. Students can register at the USD 259/LEARN table on the concourse behind section 101. Each student will need to visit the colleges in attendance and get their passport stamped in order to qualify. The winners will be announced after the second intermission. High school and college students with a valid ID can get into the game for just $2.
Saturday night is the annual Alumni Game, Team Photo giveaway and Fandemonium Night. The first 2,500 fans that come through the doors will receive this year's team picture. Before the game, the team awards will be handed out on the ice. Fans will have a chance to walk out with something during the contest as giveaways and promo items from local businesses and partners will be tossed into the crowd. Get to the arena early as the Thunder alumni will play the Wichita Junior Thunder starting at 5:15 p.m. Doors open to the general public at 5 p.m.
Wichita hosts the Tulsa Oilers in back-to-back games starting tonight at 7:05 p.m.
