Defenseman Czuczman Reassigned to Everblades

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that the New York Islanders (NHL) have reassigned defenseman Kevin Czuczman to the Everblades from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

Czuczman (pronounced CHURCH-men), 24, returns to the Everblades after posting seven points (1g, 6a) in 50 games played with Bridgeport this season. The 6-3, 204-pound blueliner is scoreless in six appearances with the Everblades this season as well.

The Port Elgin, Ontario native brings some NHL experience to the Everblades roster. Czuczman logged two assists in 13 appearances with the NHL's New York Islanders last season.

Czuczman recorded 45 career points during this three-seasons played at Lake Superior State University (2011-2014).

The Everblades return to action on Thursday at Orlando. Game time from the Amway Center is et for 7:00 p.m.

PLAYOFF GAMES! The Everblades will host Games 1 & 2 of the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. The opponent will be announced at a later date.
