DULUTH, Ga. - The Gladiators (19-44-3-4) close out their 2014-15 home schedule with a Wednesday night game against the Evansville IceMen (15-46-5-3) at 7:05 p.m. Despite having the worst record in the ECHL this season, the IceMen hold the season series against the Gladiators, having taken two of the three games played in Evansville so far. The last time out, the Gladiators took a 5-3 decision on January 31st, a game that saw Brenden Walker (1g, 2a), Geoff Paukovich (1g, 1a), Casey Pierro-Zabotel (1g, 1a), Joe Stejskal (2a), and Garry Nunn (2a) all rack up multi-point nights.

Glads Notes:

Breaking the Ice: The Glads hold the all-time series advantage against the IceMen - 7-5-0-1 - and are 3-1-0-1 in games played at The Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Close Affairs: Seven of the last 10 games that Gwinnett has played have been one-goal games. Since January 1st, 18 games have also been decided by one goal.

College Party: The Gladiators are well represented amongst the NCAA hockey teams competing in this year's tournament. Goaltenders Mike Lee (St. Cloud State) and Kent Patterson (Minnesota), forward Geoff Paukovich (Denver), and defenseman Patrick MacGregor (Boston University) all had their alma maters competing for the trophy. Only MacGregor's BU is still alive in the tournament.

Gladiators Ahoy: Three players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates - Dan O'Donoghue, Greg Carey, and Mike Lee - and nine more - Joel Hanley (POR), Louis Domingue (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR), James Melindy (POR), Dyson Stevenson (POR/BRI), Bretton Stamler (HFD), Casey Pierro-Zabotel (NOR), Joe Stejskal (IAW), and Kent Patterson (OKC) - have spent time in the AHL this year.

Milestones: Scott Arnold is one game from his 150th professional contest ... Daniel Bahntge (4/2), Tyler Shiplo (4/3), and Zach Sarig (4/4) all scored their first professional points on consecutive days last week.

Streaks: Daniel Bahntge has two goals and two assists in his last three games ... Brock Higgs has a goal and three assists in his last three games. He is averaging just under a point per game for the Gladiators (9 gp, 1g, 7a)
