After defeating Portland twice in a row by a combined score of 7-0, Tacoma Defiance (2-2-1, 7 points) travels to face Reno 1868 FC (3-1-0, 9 points) on Saturday evening at Greater Nevada Field. Forward Alec Díaz leads Defiance with four goals this season, including three in the two wins over Timbers 2.

Tacoma's match vs. Reno 1868 FC on July 23 was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Nevada club. Defiance's schedule has been adjusted to add Saturday's road match at Reno, while the previously-scheduled October 3 road fixture at Reno has been moved to Cheney Stadium.

In the club's newly-established four-team group following the resumption of play due to the COVID-19 shutdown, Tacoma sits second in Group A (7 points), two points behind first-place Reno.
