TONIGHT'S GAME: The Louisville Bats and Columbus Clippers finish off their four-game series, with Louisville hoping to avoid the series sweep. Tonight marks the final matchup between the clubs at Huntington Park this season, with a four-game series at Louisville Slugger Field set for next week. The Bats come into play with an 8-11 record against the Clip Show this season, needing a win tonight to have a chance at winning the season series.

AGAINST COLUMBUS: Columbus will try to sweep Louisville for the first time since July 12-15, 2018, when the Clippers swept a four-game series in Louisville right out of the All-Star break. COL will also try to capture its fourth straight game against the Bats, which neither team has done so far in the season series this year. Interestingly, the Clippers have scored exactly 5 runs in 4 consecutive games against Louisville.

SEVEN-TEN SPLIT: Third baseman Christian Colon homered in the sixth inning on Wednesday night, his 10th home run of the season. Colon became the seventh different Bat with at least 10 homers this season, tying a franchise record with the 1999 RiverBats.

PITCHING TRENDING UP: In 46 games since July 1, Louisville's pitching staff ranks second in the International League with a 4.01 ERA, trailing only Gwinnett's 3.97 ERA in that time span.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST: Despite losing 6 of their last 7, the Bats are still 20-19 since the All-Star Break, the only International League West club with an above-.500 record in the second half. The other clubs aren't far behind; Toledo is 19-20, Columbus 19-21 and Indianapolis 18-22 since the break.

IMPATIENT: For the second consecutive game, Louisville's offense did not draw a walk. The Bats did not record a free pass for just the ninth team this season, falling to 2-7 in those games. Alfredo Rodriguez drew LOU's last walk, in the eighth inning of Monday night's game. It's the first time that LOU has gone back-to-back games with 0 walks since June 29-30, 2016, losing back-to-back games vs. Buffalo and Gwinnett.

HOME RUN WATCH: Louisville has hit 158 home runs through 128 games, currently fourth all-time in club history, and on pace for approximately 173 home runs.
