LAST NIGHT: Kevin Kramer hit a first-inning grand slam and the Tribe never looked back in a 7-5 win over Louisville on Friday night. Jason Martin doubled and scored on a two-out single by Ke'Bryan Hayes in the second that made it 5-0, and a sacrifice fly by Hayes in the fourth answered a Josh VanMeter solo homer in the top half that pushed the score to 6-1. The Bats plated two runs in the fifth and two more in the seventh on VanMeter's league-leading 13th home run of the year, but Kramer knocked a run-scoring single for insurance after the stretch to provide the final margin. Montana DuRapau worked a scoreless ninth for his third save while sealing the win for Alex McRae (2-2), who allowed three runs on five hits over 6.0 innings for a quality start.

TONIGHT: The Indians and Bats play game three of their four-game set this evening at The Vic. Right-hander Dario Agrazal (1-0, 2.70) is set to face righty Jose Lopez (2-2, 5.63). Lopez, 25, faced Indianapolis three times in 2018 -- all at Louisville Slugger Field -- going 0-2 with a 4.08 ERA (8er/17.2ip). He allowed 14 hits (two homers) and seven walks with 18 strikeouts in those three outings combined.

MCRAE'S DAY: Alex McRae picked up his second win of the season last night, holding the Bats to three runs over 6.0 innings. It was his second quality start, with the other also resulting in a win on April 12 vs. Charlotte. He has struck out five or more batters in four of his six starts this year and is tied for sixth in the league in innings pitched (30.0). He also leads all IL pitchers with six double plays turned behind him.

KRAMER SLAM: Kevin Kramer's grand slam in the opening frame last night was the first of his career. He added an RBI single in the seventh to also log the first five-RBI performance of his career. Kramer is the second Tribe player this year to hit a grand slam and record five RBI in a game, joining Bryan Reynolds who accomplished the feat on April 17 vs. Toledo.

KEVIN COMING AROUND: Over his last seven starts dating back to April 26, Kramer is batting .400 (10-for-25) with two homers, two doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored. He has reached base safely via hit or walk in all seven of those contests.

OSUNA REINSTATED, OPTIONED: UTIL Jose Osuna was reinstated from his MLB rehab assignment and optioned to Indianapolis yesterday by Pittsburgh. He went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored last night and is batting .333 (4-for-12) with the Tribe in three games.

ROSTER MOVEMENT: Today the Pirates intend to select the contract of LHP Tyler Lyons and have reinstated INF Kevin Newman from his rehab assignment. In a corresponding move, the Indians have received LHP Sean Keselica from Double-A Altoona and will await the arrival of UTIL Pablo Reyes, who was optioned by Pittsburgh to clear space for Newman. Indy's active roster for tonight's game is at 25 players plus one MLB rehabber, C Jacob Stallings.

CRAZY EIGHT: Ke'Bryan Hayes (.303, 10-for-33) is riding a season-high eight-game hitting streak entering tonight's game. He finished 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in last night's 7-5 triumph. Patrick Kivlehan has the longest hitting streak by a Tribe player in 2019, a nine-gamer from April 16-28.

CLOSING TIME: Reliever Montana DuRapau struck out two in another scoreless ninth inning last night, pushing his scoreless streak to 11.2 innings pitched dating back to April 7. He has given up just one unearned run in 13.1 innings pitched this season and IL opponents are batting .095 (4-for-42) against him with four walks and 17 strikeouts. He is tied for sixth among IL pitchers with three saves.
