
FSN New England To Carry 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, on Thursday announced that Fox Sports Net New England plans to air The 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic, set for 7 p.m. on Monday, February 9 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Fox Sports Net New England, available locally on channel 52 of the Manchester cable system, is one of 22 cable and digital carriers that will broadcast the game to more than 108 million households across the continent. Four Manchester Monarchs, including left wing Noah Clarke (LaVerne, Califorina), center Steve Kelly (Vancouver, British Columbia), defenseman Bryan Muir (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and right wing Pavel Rosa (Most, Czech Republic) will participate in the game. Clarke (44 GP, 14-16=30) and Rosa (48 GP, 19-33=52) will skate for the PlanetUSA All-Stars. Kelly (40 GP, 13-35=48) and Muir (42 GP, 7-20=27) will skate for the Canadian All-Stars. All four players will be making their first AHL All-Star appearances.
The Comcast Network (CN8), available locally on channel 3, will also have a hand in this weekend's All-Star activities. The network plans to air the 2004 AHL All-Star Skills Competition, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, at Van Andel Arena, on Saturday, February 14 at 1 p.m. All four Monarchs are also expected to participate in the All-Star Skills Competition.
The Monarchs (23-19-3-3) return to the ice when they meet the Springfield Falcons at the Springfield Civic Center on Friday, February 6 at 7:35 p.m. After that, they return home to host the Worcester IceCats at 7:35 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Less than 300 seats remain for Saturday's game.
