Thrashers recall Foster

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled defenseman Kurtis Foster from the Chicago Wolves.

Foster, who was sent back to Chicago yesterday, recorded his first National Hockey League point with an assist on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins. Overall, Foster has registered one point in four NHL games spanning the last two seasons (2002-2004).

The Carp, Ontario, native leads American Hockey League blueliners with seven power-play goals this season, and ranks second among AHL defensemen with nine goals.
