THE STORY COMING IN: The Road Warriors (13-9-0-0), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, enter tonight's contest on a three-game winning streak and in sole possession of third place in the East Division (26 points). The club has also won four straight games on SANDLAPPER Securities Rink at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, dating back to November 13th. Overall, Greenville is 6-1-0 at home this season, including a pair of convincing wins over Orlando last week. In their last game, the Road Warriors' offense ignited for five goals in a 5:02 span of the first period en route to a 7-2 blowout of the Solar Bears on Friday. Forwards Trevor Parkes and Kyle Jean each scored twice, while Vinny Saponari notched a career-best four points (4a) in the victory. Tonight, Greenville looks to extend its overall winning streak to four games for the second time this season.

HOME SWEET HOME: The Road Warriors conclude a three-game home stand tonight and look to win their fifth straight game on home ice for the first time since March 20, 2014 - April 5, 2014. In fact, Greenville is already off to its best start at home through its first seven home games since the franchise relocated to the Upstate in 2010 - one point better than the inaugural squad that went 5-1-1 in that span. Additionally, Greenville currently leads the league with a .857 win percentage at home this year and has outscored opponents 25-14 in those games.

WARRIORS VS. CYCLONES: Tonight's game marks the first of four meetings between the Road Warriors and Cyclones this season (three in Greenville, one in Cincinnati). It's also the first matchup since the two clubs met in the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals, where the Cyclones defeated Greenville in six games (4-2) to advance to the Kelly Cup Finals. During the regular season, Greenville went 1-0-1 against the Cyclones last year. The Road Warriors are 7-4-3 all-time against Cincinnati.

VIEW FROM CINCINNATI: The Cyclones (8-7-0-4) have fallen to fourth place in the North Division after losing four of their last five games. On Tuesday, goaltender Sam Brittain was chased from the net less than eight minutes into the contest as the Cyclones lost to South Carolina 3-1. In addition, Cincinnati's leading scorer, Byron Froese (24 points), was called-up to AHL Toronto prior to face-off. The Cyclones are currently in the middle of a three-game, three-city road trip that wraps up in Gwinnett on Saturday.

OFFENSIVE SURGE: The Road Warriors have scored an impressive 19 goals in their last three contests combined (6.33/ game), which is more than the team scored in each of its first six games this season. With the boost in production, Greenville's offense now sits 10th in the league, scoring an average of 3.18 goals/game. The Warriors also boast a very balanced attack, as Grenville does not have a player in the top 38 in league scoring. The Warriors are a perfect 12-0-0 when scoring at least three goals this season, but just 1-9-0 when scoring two goals or less.

GETTING THE CALL: Since the last game on Friday, Greenville has lost a trio of key players to call-ups with the team's AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack. Among those are forwards Shawn O'Donnell and Vinny Saponari, the latter of which was on a four-game point streak (1g, 8a) and is the team's leading scorer overall (17 points). The other call-up was goaltender Jeff Malcolm, who was tied for the league lead with 11 wins, second in the ECHL in saves (417) and third with a .929 save percentage. Malcolm was also tied for second in the league with a 2.13 goals against average and a perfect 6-0-0 record at home this season.

OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT: The Road Warriors have enjoyed great success when getting off to a good start this season. Greenville is 9-1-0 when scoring the first goal and 6-0-0 when leading after the opening frame. The Road Warriors are also 8-0-0 when leading after two periods this season.

GOING STREAKING: Forward Chris McCarthy is on a four-game point streak overall that dates back to Nov. 28th (3g, 2a). In addition, defenseman Ryan Hegarty is on a four-game point streak at home, dating back to Nov. 13th (2g, 3a).
