Fresno Grizzlies News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - The sixth Fresno Grizzlies homestand of the 2016 season is scheduled for June 21-28, with eight games against the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies, June 21-24) and the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners, June 25-28) for the defending Triple-A National Champions. Here is a preview of the week's promotional schedule:
6/21 & 6/28 (7:05 p.m.) - Taco Tuesday: It's Tuesday at the ballpark, which can only mean one thing: The Fresno Tacos are back in town! Enjoy food from local taco trucks throughout the game as we celebrate Fresno's taco legacy. The Grizzlies will be donning the uniforms of their alter-ego for the game, the 2016 "Fresno Tacos," and the caps and jerseys are currently available in the Grizzlies Team Store. (The "Tacos" are 3-2 this season.) Get 2-for-1 Field Box and Phoenix Club tickets, $2 tacos, $2 churros and $2 sodas through the fifth inning. COMMUNITY OUTREACH NIGHT: Presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, learn about how you can help dozens of Central Valley non-profits, with their booths lining the concourse.
6/22 (7:05 p.m.) - Wear The Bear Wednesday | Everybody "Wins"-Day: It's another "Wear The Bear" Wednesday and "Everybody Wins-Day," so wear Grizzlies gear for a chance to win free tickets to the following Wednesday home game! Anyone wearing Grizz gear in the team store will also get 25% off merchandise. If the Grizzlies win, everybody in attendance will receive six (6) FREE garlic parmesan breadsticks from Round Table Pizza!
6/23 (7:05 p.m.) - Tecate Thursday: It's Tecate Thursday, with $2 Tecate and Tecate Light (24 oz!) available through the 5th inning! Sodas (12 oz) are also just $1 all game on Thursdays. GAR TOOTELIAN, Inc. WATER RALLY: Join Gar Tootelian at the game, score a free hat and t-shirt to help them "blue-out" the ballpark in support of #Water4All in the Central Valley! For more information, visit CAWater4All.com/rally.
6/24 (7:05 p.m.) - Parker's 10th Birthday | Good Karma Night | Fireworks: Fresno Grizzlies Mascot Parker T. Bear is turning 10! If you like mascot mayhem, you won't want to miss Friday's game, as Parker celebrates his birthday on the field and around Chukchansi Park with many of his mascot friends, including Orbit from our parent club, the Houston Astros! The Grizzlies will be wearing special Parker-themed jerseys (with FURRY NUMBERS!), and the game-worn tributes to the best mascot in Minor League Baseball will be available for bid in a silent auction on the concourse during the game. All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation, Central California. Cupcakes Bakery is the sponsor of Parker's 10thBirthday cupcakes!
Friday evening is also "Good Karma Night" at Chukchansi Park, where fans are allowed to literally "pay what they want" for a ticket (minimum $1, in person at the box office only). The "Good Karma?" 50% of the proceeds from tickets sold as part of this promotion will be donated to Fresno First Steps Home, as part of Mayor Ashley Swearengin's initiative to eliminate chronic homelessness in Fresno. Fans are encouraged to turn out in large numbers, pay what they can or have on them for tickets, and support this great cause as well as the Grizzlies!
The night will end with another spectacular Friday Fireworks Show, presented by Fresno Madera Farm Credit. It's also another "Farm Grown Friday," with an in-ballpark farmer's market prior to and during the game, presented by Whole Foods.
6/25 (7:05 p.m.) - Bark in the Park | Fresno State Tribute Night: What better night to pay tribute to the Fresno State Bulldogs than Bark in the Park? Fans are encouraged to bring their dog with them to the game, provided they are on a leash and cleaned up after. To obtain a special Pooch Pass to allow your furry friend to enjoy the game with you, please contact the Fresno Grizzlies ticket office by calling 559-320-TIXS or visiting the box office during normal business hours. Any fans wearing Fresno State gear in the team store can take advantage of a 25% discount on Grizzlies merchandise, and a special "Paws & Claws" combined Fresno State/Fresno Grizzlies t-shirt will be available for purchase in the team store as well. Bring the Red Wave to the game, and Go Dogs!
6/26 (5:05 p.m.) - Save Mart Sunday: A pre-game future-Houston Astros autograph session with two Grizzlies as a part of Save Mart Sundays, and post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Sun-Maid. Fans can also take $5 off tickets by showing a Save Mart receipt at the box office! (Some restrictions may apply.) Family Catch on the Field will begin at approximately 4:05 p.m. when gates open, lasting for 15 to 20 minutes in the outfield.
