LANSING, Mich. - Chaz Frank stole the show as the Lansing Lugnuts scored two two-out runs in the ninth and walked off with a 7-6 win over the West Michigan Whitecaps before a crowd of 6,581 on Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

With the win, the Lugnuts (4-3, 36-40) took the rubber match of the three-game series over the Whitecaps (3-4, 44-33).

Trailing 6-5 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Lansing left fielder David Harris knocked a single to center field off of West Michigan reliever Zac Reininger (Blown Save, 2)(Loss, 1-1).

That brought up Frank, who jumped on a 3-2 pitch and drilled a game-tying RBI triple to the deepest part of center field, just out of reach of West Michigan's Austin Schotts. With D.J. Davis at the plate, Reininger 's first wild pitch of the year brought Frank in from third to give Lansing the walk-off win.

Frank finished the night 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Harris scored two runs, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.

With the game tied in the seventh, Frank hit a go-ahead RBI single to put Lansing ahead 5-4.

Lansing reliever Phil Kish (Blown Save, 2)(Win, 5-3) surrendered a two-run single to right fielder Wynton Bernard in the top of the eighth inning to give the Whitecaps a 6-5 lead, but rebounded with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Brady Dragmire pitched two scoreless relief innings for the Lugnuts with a pair of strikeouts.

The Lugnuts hit the road to begin a four-game series with the Great Lakes Loons on Friday night at Dow Diamond. Lansing's starting pitcher is yet to be determined. Right-hander Brandon Martinez (1-3, 3.44) will start on the mound for the Loons.
