Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs led wire to wire on Saturday evening for a 6-1 win over the Buffalo Bisons at NBT Bank Stadium. Victor Robles led Syracuse with four hits, including a triple, and every Chiefs player reached base in the win.

Syracuse (62-76) jumped on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Robles and Matt Reynolds both singled, putting runners at first and second base. Robles moved to third and Reynolds to second on a Jacob Wilson groundout to shortstop. José Marmolejos followed with a single into left field that scored both Robles and Reynolds for a 2-0 Chiefs lead. Yadiel Hernandez then smashed a ball over the left-center-field wall for a two-run home run to the opposite field that gave Syracuse a 4-0 advantage.

Buffalo (61-75) scored its lone run in the top of the fourth. With two outs, Anthony Alford and Rowdy Tellez singled, placing runners at first and third. Richard Ureña followed with a double down the right-field line that brought home Alford to trim the Syracuse lead to three, 4-1.

The Chiefs responded in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Irving Falu walked. Falu moved to second base on a Tuffy Gosewisch groundout to third. Bengie Gonzalez followed with a single to right field, plating Falu to make it a 5-1 ballgame.

Syracuse added to its lead in the fifth. Wilson walked, Marmolejos singled, and Hernandez singled, loading the bases. Two batters later, Falu singled to center field, scoring Wilson to extend the Chiefs lead to five, 6-1.

On a rehab assignment from Washington, Chiefs starting pitcher Joe Ross threw five and two-thirds, allowing one run, five hits, and three walks while striking out four batters.

Syracuse and Buffalo continue their four-game series with the penultimate game on Sunday night. RHP Austin Voth is scheduled to start for the Chiefs while RHP Jacob Waguespack will be on the mound for the Bisons. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
