
Four Run First Dooms Lookouts

Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts surrendered four runs in the first inning in their 4-1 loss to the Tennessee Smokies in front of a crowd of 5,390 fans at AT&T Field.
Smokies outfielder Nico Hoerner got the scoring started right away when he belted a solo shot. Gioskar Amaya followed that up later in the inning with a three-run homer off of Lookouts pitcher Reiver Sanmartin. Sanmartin took the loss, but settled in to pitch five straight scoreless innings. The lefty also set a season-high with eight strikeouts. Relievers Johendi Jiminian and Wyatt Strahan combined for three shutout innings and four strikeouts.
In the bottom of the first Chattanooga got their lone run of the night when Jose Siri belted a leadoff homer. The blast was Siri's ninth of the season. In the loss Calten Daal collected three hits and Jonathan India drew a walk in his AT&T Field debut.
Tomorrow, the Lookouts send southpaw Scott Moss to the mound. Moss has a 3.47 ERA on the year with 119 strikeouts. Moss faces off against Corey Abbott. Game time for tomorrow is set for 2:15 p.m. with gates opening at 1:00 p.m.
