The American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves yesterday (Thursday) released D MARK GOUET, LW GABLE GROSS, G TOM LAWSON, and C JONATHAN ROY from their training camp roster. All four players have been added to the Greenville Grrrowl roster and may be available for tonight's exhibition game in Charlotte (7:35 PM).

JONATHAN ROY returns to the Grrrowl after helping Greenville win the Kelly Cup Championship last season. The 22-year old Quebec native was acquired by the Grrrowl from the Augusta Lynx (ECHL) last December. In 41 games with Greenville, Roy recorded 15-22-37 points and added 7-9-16 points in 17 playoff games. MARK GOUET finished his four year collegiate career at the University of Vermont last season.

The 24-year old Ontario native registered 4-11-15 points and 118 penalty minutes in 102 career games at UVM. He also played 2 games with American Hockey League's Portland Pirates, and 2 games with the ECHL Jackson Bandits at the end of last season.

The 23-year old Whitby, Ontario native suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first game of the season. Grrrowl VP of Hockey Operations/Head Coach JOHN MARKS said, "Tom (Lawson) has completely recovered from that injury, and according to (Chicago Wolves GM) Kevin Cheveldayoff, he was getting sharper each day of camp."

Greenville Grrrowl tickets are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.
