BILOXI, Miss. - Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today defenseman Jason Crain has signed a one-year contract.
Crain, 22, attended the training camps of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. He completed his collegiate career last season playing 40 games with Ohio State of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania scored five goals and picked up seven assists while accumulating 48 penalty minutes. Crain was selected by Los Angeles in the 3rd round (74th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
