Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
Cincinnati, Ohio â The Cincinnati Cyclones, an affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks, successfully completed their recent trip overseas by compiling a 2-2-0 record in games against three Austrian-based clubs and a team from Milan, Italy.
On Sunday the Cyclones will compete in an intra-squad scrimmage that is open to the public and is free of charge. The contest will be held at 11:00 a.m. at SportsPlus, located on Reading Road in Evendale. Immediately after the game, select Cyclones players will be available to skate with fans during a regular public skating session, while other players will be participating in a "Meet the Players" gathering for season-ticket holders in the Overtime Bar and Grill at SportsPlus.
Head Coach Malcolm Cameron's club is in full preparations for their season-opening game on Saturday, October 12 against the Peoria Rivermen at 7:05 p.m. The festivities include a "Tribute to Pete Rose" at U.S. Bank Arena, including a jersey #14 retirement ceremony for the baseball legend. Select fans will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Rose and get his autograph, while others will be chosen to compete in a homerun hitting contest against baseball's all-time hits leader.
