Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
The TinCaps play a day-night doubleheader today against the West Michigan Whitecaps, with first pitch times scheduled for noon and 7:00 PM. The scheduled starters in game one are Max Fried for the TinCaps and Jordan John for the Whitecaps. In game two, the scheduled starters are the recently returned Adys Portillo for Fort Wayne and Julio Felix for West Michigan.
Entering today's play, Fort Wayne trails first-place South Bend by 1.5 games. The TinCaps have three games remaining in the first half, while the Silver Hawks have just two. Because South Bend holds the head-to-head tiebreaker between the two teams, either a South Bend win or a Fort Wayne loss will knock the TinCaps out of contention for the Eastern Division title in the first half.
