Force Bounces Back, Handles Legends 110-92

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce responded with a 110-92 victory over the Texas Legends on Friday night in the second of a back-to-back.

Sioux Falls (10-13) moves to 3-1 this season on the backend and has won the last three games in the finale of a back-to-back. They also move to 8-2 when out rebounding the opponent.

Micah Potter (26 points on 12-18 FGA and seven rebounds) led the Force in scoring in consecutive nights. He has also secured 10-plus field goal makes in both outings, as well.

The Skyforce jumped out to a 36-13 lead after the first quarter, while shooting 60.9 percent (14-23 FGA) and 85.7 percent from deep (6-7 3PA). Mychal Mulder (15 points on 4-9 3PA) posted 11 points in the quarter alone on 3-3 3PA in his first start back with the team.

Potter posted nine points on 4-7 FGA and five rebounds in the second quarter alone to give Sioux Falls a 62-36 lead at intermission. The lead marked the biggest advantage at halftime this season.

The Legends outscored the Skyforce 56-48 in the second half, behind a combined 20 points from Feron Hunt (16 points on 6-12 FGA) and Chris Walker (13 points).

Sam Thompson posted a season-high 19 points on 8-13 FGA and seven rebounds. Mario Chalmers posted his first double-double with the Skyforce, with 14 points on 4-8 3PA and a G League career-high 13 assists. Chandler Hutchison added 12 points, nine rebounds and a G League career-high eight assists.

Justin Jackson led all scorers for Texas with 17 points, while grabbing eight rebounds.

The Skyforce travel to face the Iowa Wolves on Sunday, with tip-off slated for 3:00 PM CST at Wells Fargo Arena. The Legends continue the road, facing the Birmingham Squadron at 7:00 PM CST.
