
Jones, Legends Fend off the Force

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Texas Legends (10-10) fought off the Sioux Falls Skyforce (9-13) in the final minute to secure a 120-117 victory Thursday night on the road.
Texas started off on an 8-0 run and built up the largest lead of the night (+14) before the half. The third quarter started with five quick points from the Legends to build back a double-digit lead 65-53, but the home team doubled the visitors' output in the next seven minutes to take their first and only lead of the night with just over three minutes in the quarter. The Legends quickly recaptured the lead with the Force staying close behind as the third ended with Texas up 91-86.
Texas was up by 11 at the five-minute mark, but Sioux Falls hit a 14-3 run to tie it up 115-all with under two minutes to play. Carlik Jones was perfect from the line while the Skyforce missed a final long attempt to give Texas the game one victory.
The Legends had seven players finish in double-digits led by Jones with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Olin Carter III added 17 points, 4 rebounds, and Chris Walker came off the bench for 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Micah Potter dominated the boards grabbing 18 while putting up 29 points, shooting 5-of-8 outside. DJ Stewart finished with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Chandler Hutchinson added 16 points, 8 rebounds.
