Florence Y'alls
Florence, Kentucky: A warm summer night welcomed 1,927 fans to Craftsman Truck Series night at Champion Window Field in Florence Kentucky. The Freedom were looking to improve to 7-1 on the homestand, and they succeded in a big way. Going into the bottom of the third, Florence was down 6-2, and they yanked starter Mark Harris, who went two innings, gave up six runs on five hits, while striking out only one. But, the Freedom offense had his back. In line to get the loss, Harris watched his ball-club pound Kalamazoo pitching from the third inning on, in fact, Florence outscored the Kings 15-1 from the bottom third onward. Joe Holland jump started his batting average, going 3-5 with a RBI, doubling three times, his batting average now sits at .258. Mike Galloway continued his hitting ways, since pitchers still haven't figured out how to get him out, he went 3-5, with his 15th homer of the season, raising his batting average to .421. Perhaps the guy that followed him had the biggest offensive explosion, Trever Hall went 5-6, with two doubles, and two RBI. The hot bat of Darrin Kinsolving continued to steam, he went 2-4, with his fourth jack of the season, along with a double, he drove in four runs. Kyle Geswein added his 11th homerun of the season, and Josh Sanchez only had one hit, but he made it count, his second jack of the season, driving in all four runs. After the second inning, the Freedom put in Reliever Curt Moenter, they might as well of started him, he went six, gave up one run that wasn't earned, walked only one, while striking out eight. He improves his record to 2-0, and lowers his ERA to 3.27. Marksbury finished up the game in the ninth, allowing one hit and walking one, but giving up no runs, striking out two in his first appearence of the year for the Freedom.
