Rockford RiverHawks News Release

It is going to be a busy couple of days for Rockford Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo. Armed with a new contract, Daleo will make stops in the community over the next couple of days.

This Saturday, July 9, Daleo will travel to the mound and throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Rockford Riverhawks' contest against Frontier League opponent Florence. Game time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Daleo will travel to the broadcast booth in the seventh inning to lead the crowd in "Take me out to the ball game."

"Two years ago, I did a great Luis Tiant impersonation but I almost fell off the mound," said Daleo. "Last year I was Nuke La Loushe and almost hit the mascot. This year I am going to try to paint the corner like Greg Maddox."

On Tuesday, July 12, Daleo will visit the Rockford All-Star Camp, which is being held at Jefferson High School, at 2:45 p.m. This will mark the fourth straight year in which Daleo has been asked to meet and greet the campers.

"There are over 225 campers signed up," said Daleo. "This is the 24th year that the Rockford All-Star Camp has been in existence. I am very pleased that they have asked me to come out again. We have a lot of fun."
