Flames Send Burke And Donally To Wranglers

Moline, IL - The Quad City Flames announced today that defenseman Gerry Burke and left wing Ryan Donally have been returned to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. The Wranglers begin their ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs tonight at home vs. the Stockton Thunder.

Burke began the regular season in Las Vegas. He recorded seven points (three goals and four assists) in 16 ECHL games before being called up to the Flames on November 30th. Burke became a regular on the Flames blueline as the 2007-08 season wore on. He appeared in 45 games with Quad City and recorded six points (all assists) with 36 penalty minutes.

Donally spent two tours in the Quad Cities during the 2007-08 season. He was recalled from Las Vegas for the first time on December 21st and returned on January 30th. His second recall began on April 3rd and ended with today's return to the ECHL. In 10 games with the Flames, Donally was held pointless while accumulating 21 penalty minutes. Donally returns to the Wranglers where he has recorded 37 points (15 goals and 22 assists) and 176 penalty minutes in 53 games this season.

The Flames close out their home schedule tonight vs. Iowa. Player awards will be presented to the 2007-08 Flames prior to the game. Game time is 7:05 p.m. After the contest, the Flames game-worn jerseys will be presented to lucky winners in attendance. All fans at tonight's game will have the opportunity to register to win the jerseys. The Flames travel to San Antonio for a pair of season ending showdowns with the Rampage this weekend. On Saturday, game time is 7:00 p.m. Sunday's game will begin at 5:00 p.m. Fans in the Quad Cities can watch the game live at b2 Viewing Parties at Bleacher Bums in Davenport or Parkside Grill and Lounge in Moline.
