HAMILTON, ONT. - The Adirondack Flames (4-6-1-0) scored three unanswered third-period goals to edge the Hamilton Bulldogs (4-5-2-0) 3-1 at FirstOntario Centre on Friday evening.

Hamilton forward T.J. Hensick got the 'Dogs on the board first with his second goal of the season, assisted by forwards Charles Hudon and Christian Thomas. Thomas' assist extended his current point streak to six games.

Adirondack forward David Wolf tied the game 1-1 at 5:48 of the third period when he beat Hamilton goaltender Joey MacDonald high, glove side. Forward Emile Poirier and defenceman John Ramage collected assists.

With less than five minutes to play, Flames forward Turner Elson scored the eventual game winner to give his club a 2-1 lead. Forwards Garnet Hathaway and Corban Knight drew assists on the play.

Adirondack forward Bryce Van Brabant added an insurance marker with 97 seconds to play to extend the 'Dogs deficit to 3-1. Defenceman Ryan Culkin and forward Emile Poirier had assists.

MacDonald made 26 saves on 29 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss. Brad Thiessen stopped 26 of 27 shots faced for the Flames in the win.

Hamilton went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Adirondack was 0-for-3 with a man advantage.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 when they'll host the Flames again at FirstOntario Centre at 7 p.m.
